its a brand new year!
01012009, the highly anticipated day has finally arrived.
so what did you do on the last day of 2008?
for me, i had a exhausting but fulfilling day!
yet i feel a little saddened...
was your day enjoyable, boring or exciting? hehe.

in the morning, angie, zhiwei and me went for a short short interview
then we had to rush back home to get ready for our badminton session!
wahaha that zhiwei played barefooted and kept jumping about
cos the ground was smoking hot!
you popcorn chicken!!
her actions entertained us a whole lot la :D

afterwards, i went to CWP to meet dat lazy pig changsheng.
zhai nan! always so reluctant to come out de.
we ate, chatted, shopped around the mall.. :)
im glad to see you on the last day of 2008!

then, it was time for Countdown at Vivocity!
went to meet the women in black, Angie, Zhi, Felfel & Lian~~
wowww it's our first time counting down to a new year tgt wor!

we managed to get some tix thanks to Rui En FC with the help of Zhizhi xiaojie!
the performance were okay,
but it didnt seem to inject a large dose of high-ness in us except Zhi ba.
hahaaa. i think we'd be happier if we hadn't been so tired :( boo
& im sad because on the last day of 2008,

i didn't take a photo with....
i didn't get to watch fireworks.
i didn't feel very high at the countdown.

for the new year, im sure everyone would have their wishes! tell me yours ah!

i wish....
to receive a result slip that'll make my teacher smile.
to nurture stronger and deeper relationships with my friends.
to improve myself. ( ie characterwise, interpersonal and communication skills)

i had my second outing with GMX, YH & YK!
hehehe. went to meet GMX & YK @ taka in the evening.
GMX said she was there at 1 plus, cos she was peeping at yh..
proof: the handprints @ the little traces of vertical drool on the glass doors of HUGO BOSS!!

pooor YH have to work & he could only spare us a little while.
as you all know, HUGO BOSS is a high-end retail outlet!
we felt really stressed when we were in the shop lor~~ Omg.
i couldn't breathe!! hahaaha.
off we went to Pasta Cafe for our dinner, and it took us like 45mins for us to settle down and have our orders taken :x
eeek! we're really chatterboxes eh? the staff there must have hated us..
wellwell the pasta & dessert was HMMM~ yummy!!

after we ate.... it was time for gift exchange!

i got a cutie, yellow, smiley, softie ice cream pencil case from GMX!

instantly, i felt a gush of joy coursing through my body when i ate them lor

i will always remember the kind actions of you've done,
the little little things you've done which really gladdens me alot alot.
For example,

buying chocs for me when i felt sad over Maths,

tolerating and comprising with my nasty mood swings
(which have evidently improved over the years of cultivation in the high mountains of Kinabaluku :p)

enjoying our 'Xin Fu' at the ice cream parlour sharing our girly secrets

snapping UGLY & UNGLAM piccas of each other!

her advices and encouragement (FormuLOVE) to lift a sad spirit up all the time!
..to mention just a very few.

if not you'll have to read on for years!


sometimes i wonder why a person like me can deserve such a friend like her.
and because of her, i am willing and was able to gradually shed the previous skin of mine
into a better, much better person.
(now you can imagine how bad i was previously?)
im not bragging at all.
her heart of gold, her innocence,
her kindness, her fragility.


we laughed, cried, quarrelled, screamed, fought, smiled together.

A day of many returns.

today i went to the library, yes.
alone.
off i picked up a book from the shelf named
'EQ, the basic foundation of Emotional Quotient'

there, i strolled down the path towards self-discovery and
i realise many dimensions of myself which i never knew in the past.
basically, the not-so-good side of YC surfaced before me.

i have to admit i'm a hot-headed person who can be manipulative sometimes..
arghhhh thanks to the fact that im an idealist, utopianist.
who always portray a flawless portrait, as if we're living in the Garden of Eden!?
and in the end? im tend to be the one who gets lets down.
Its inevitable and i'll have to accept that..
we're not perfect.

i tend to speak off my mind rashly,
in an aggressive tone that'll hurt the ones closest to me.
but self-awareness has propelled me to shoulder the personal responsibility for me to become a better, tolerant person.
in the past, like what angie said,
i didnt even think there WAS a problem.
which explains why some people hated me initially! (HOR, zhiwei and angie? =P)
perhaps, that's self-denial which i thought can retain the happiness within me.
afterall, we're human beings who have our blind spots, our Achilles heels we aren't aware about
and we do need a couple of genuine friends who can
peacefully, honestly, point out where exactly you have gone wrong.
the truth can be hurtful at times BUT please don't get too affected..
those are the words you'd seldom hear which may aid you in maturing internally.
I have to constantly remind myself that
'It's not what you say that counts, it's how you say it.'

But still, only YOU, can change yourself and that's called personal responsibility.
If you think you can, you will.

Happy ONE :

Not long ago, we had this IMPROMPTU primary-school gathering
comprising of Joy, Elaine, OST and me!
seowting is still so joLLy & funny
i think i can even hear her laughter resonating in my brain now
wAHAHAH.
US, despite being 'separated' for ages
didnt seem to drift very far from one another.
this is something rather gladdening :) heee haha
we were literally luffing our heads and hair off in town,
like 4 maddyssss..
chatting about da good ol'days :

as we were touring Far East Plaza,
miraculously i bumped into Meixin, Yanhong and Yukai!!

it was too much of a coincidence, isnt it?
to think we can meet at the same time, same place, same frequency.
Fate, i call it =p
well to me, they're really amiable and fun-to-be-with people
that i NEVER regretted befriending in my 2 yrs of college life.
most importantly, its the feeling of sincerity i sense when im with them!
i hope i could know them better!!
and maybe they can even be recruited into my list of forever friends :x

Our occasional Ohana stayover at Maxie's residence.
this time round, da highlights of dis event was basically
Mahjong with sinful chocs, swts, gummies as our stakes
but most importantly,
it was da DRAMATHON- Tang Xin Feng Bao zhi Jia Hao Yue Yuan
dat was praiseworthy!!
my goshhhhh. the show was fantabulous.
it depicted how we human beings, can change for the pursuit of wealth and stuff.
and the price to pay for greed!
oh, we also learnt to speak a little bit of Cantonese
like Mai Yin Wai Lock, Sei Yan Tao.. Kam Yong =X if you understand, that is.
though i dont think it is of any educational value ahahaa.
overall, we really have to admit that it was a FATTENING stayover,
cos we succumbed to those tempting treats!!

Toblerone, Cadbury chocolate, Dove Avericilla, HUGE Muffins, Fruit Plus,
Gummiess, CHEESE-filled pancakes from Mr. Bean, Cheezels, Twisties.. Ohmy.
All- finished during the nights of playing & watching.
*faints in disbelief*

all in all, we were happy and contented souls(or maybe Pigs) at the end of the stayover!

and the time spent was really brimming with THUNDEROUS laughter and OVERWHELMING JOY! seriously, with all da non-stop juicy gossips and teasings.

wellwell i was rather taken aback when 70% all drank alcohol before lor!
all except Cindia, shangzhi and me.
seeee we so pure de ne hahaha~
dat weiming keep asking me to drink AND i kept rejecting him :)
dowanna get polluted mah =p
still we know hes an obliging guy cos most of da time, he volunteered to serve us all!

AND OH, finally i tasted REAL CRAB MEAT for da 1st time in my 17 coming to 18 years of life *hintttt* lol~~ oky lar i know abit unbelievable BUT its true!
