At the mention of 'babies', what actually comes into your mind?
Cute? Innocent? You just wanna pinch their oh-so-kawaii-neh chubby cheeks?




wahhahhaa.
babies are supery dupery fun to play with~ :D
but babysitting? NO!


i had a chance to do so... Wenbin and Wenxuan.
Early in the morning, YC had to crawl out of her cozy warm bed,
went to their house and started my Babysitting Mission!
Basically, i just felt like a maid doing some mundane chores...
put the water to boil, made Milo, vacuumed the house, brought them to the library
treated them to ice-cream (WEEE!) The list goes on.......
*yawnnn*


But there were some simple things we did
that made me sink into reminiscence..!
When i brought them to the playground,
i could see the children wearing their best smiles on their faces.
every child loves to play!
sigh so sad. i wished i could play together with them..
Why isnt there a playground for teenagers like us?!?!
Unfair!


gliding down the slides, playing the see-saw, or sit in a swing
going round and round and round in a merry-go-round~
i'd always lose one of my sandals everytime i visited the playground
- . - Wonder who's that stinky shoe stealer! Dont lemme catch euu.
and there was once, i accidentally somersaulted down the slide!!
head over heels lehhhh.
OmgOmg. it was a terrifying experience for a child like me then :S


then, it was watching cartoons!
when i was in primary school, i'd always hog on the TV set after school &
during weekends, sissy and me will get even more excited!!
Digimon, Doraemon, Pokemon, Akazukin Chaha, Teletubbies blahblahblah..


i could still remember that
my grandfather always prepared my favourite scrambled egg and bacon.
for dinner, he would prepare special dishes for us while he himself,
will just make do with simple bland ones like vegetables or beansprouts..
He only gives me the best.
Also he'll ensure that the fridge will always be chocked full of chocolates and sweets.
thinking about this.. the fridge now is as empty as can be.
But its consoling enough just to know he really loves us a whole lot.
im sure there's someone like him in your life too, right? :)


p.s. i miss those days.
And i miss grandpa.

28 September 2009- KITE FLYING EVENT AT West Coast Park



Probably my happiest day so far.

In the morning, met bff for breakfast for some h.t.h chatters.
awww.. she shared with me some blissful updates of her new found love.
i just like it when we connect :p
After which we set off we to wcp for the highly anticipated event!!
i thought kite flying will be an
easy-peasy, lemon-squeezy, chicken-feety affair for everyone.
all you have to do.... is to launch the kite into the sky..!

you wish ah. its really not that simple!
we have to get hold of the correct wind direction and angle before we can do that,
which was quite a back-breaking BUT crazily fun and happy process we went through.

meanwhile.. i realise that
Singaporeans can actually be quite warm and helpful.

Imagine 4 blonde girls trying to fly the kite... TWO WORDS:
Mission Impossible.
Seeing us in lodged in such a tragical situation,
some people actually came forward to help us voluntarily!

One kind man explained to us why the kite cant fly
One kind man told us offered to hold the kite up high so we can launch it correctly
One kind man attached a small little tail for our little kite
One kind man repaired our kite for us
Really grateful to the four kind men, man!

and finally....
The kite was flying in the sky!
Fly kite fly~ so freely in the blue blue sky.
if we were to get it right the first time..
i dont think we can feel such an outburst of joy at the end!
its often only after we experienced the initial struggle
can we truly taste the sweet fruit of success.

And in the evening, my sis was really nice to me!
she brought home my favy creampuffs and ondeh ondeh.
weeeeeeee. what's there not to be happy about?
you tell me!

And so my day was made...
with Angie, Zhiwei, Felicia and my Sissy! ^^

Dear Diary,
Last Sunday morning..
Maxie and me went to Bukit Batok Community Centre.
Volunteered ourselves as mentors/tutors for the needy children.
it was really an eye opener and new experience for the both of us..


i think it wont be an easy task for me to guide them..
as you know, younger children tend to have a shorter attention span
and are easily distracted. (i think guolian will understand)
playful and jumpy *boingboingboing*
eeeek.. how am i going to capture their attention?


some are attention seekers, some are not.
Generally, the quieter ones are those with really low self-esteem
probably due to the fact that the children come from low income families..
and not well-taken care of at home. their parents might be
apathetic to the needs of their child, leaving them neglected and unloved.
its sad.. :(





I always thought that everyone would have their very own dream, their own direction in life.

but not necessarily so...

"What's your dream?"

When confronted with this question, some of them would simply reply..

"I don't know."

Is it because back at home, they dont really have someone to look up to, to inspire them?
Or is it because of the lack of low self-esteem, that caused them to extinguish the courage for them to dream a big dream?


well.. we may never know.
most of us are born into happy families, sheltered from all the sun and rain.
at home we're showered lavishly with care and concern by our parents..
in which might translate into something negative, known as nagging.
we may just take things for granted. (im guilty of this and im trying to change..)
But as compared to those little kids out there, we are really really very fortunate and lucky.


everyone knows we can never decide who our parents will be, right?
hope we can consciously cherish what we have before us.
Especially our family and friends..
those integral, important relationships that keep us alive all the time!
thankfully.. i've learnt this from Someone. =)


No doubt, waking up early on a Sunday morning will not be an easy chore for a pig like me!
but i guess i will just have to learnt how to adapt and sacrifice some sleep,
when you can turn those time into fulfilling moments as you guide those children.
im quite sure you'd able to sleep better at the end of the day..

i feel its time to do my part for the society. 19 years old le..

These 2 days i'll never forget.
For those were the most sinful/幸福 days in my 19 years of life!
taitai-time with Maxie!!
Shopped at ION Orchard.
Chilled at Starbucks.
Dined at Crystal Jade for consecutive 2 days.
OMG.

i actually thought i wont like the place,
thinking that it'd be just another Takashimaya/Vivo City..
Loaded with flashy designer brands that seemed so alien and unreachable to commoners like me.
But.. Somehow i liked the place.
The exterior of the building looks humongous and posh,
undoubtedly portraying Singapore as a shopping paradise..
i felt so microscopic all of a sudden, just by standing in front of the entrance :S
The interior design of many shops are seriously quite praiseworthy!!
Each of them emitting its own unique aura,
bringing out a myraid of style and flavour to allure consumerism~
(but of course.)


Well. this may not be a bad thing afterall! since it'd promote economic growth for the country in this recession period..
(ECONS!! Ohmy.. Angie's favourite.)
But then again, on the other side of the spectrum, thriftiness is a virtue too.
Wah.. Sounds contradicting huh?

See. Its called Bread Society!!
This will surely attract all the Pet Society lovers out there man!
(Hor ANQI? Hor Snuffy? Hor Vivaldi?) wahahhaha.

And the basement. neatly lined with stalls after stalls of foody food!!
comprising food cultures from all over the world~ shall give it a try next time..
yum :P

Tuesday after TTT, i went to visit my poor Angie the sickling.
First time seeing her down with such a serious illness :(
Maxie bought 4 bottles of 凉茶 for her
(initially he wanted half a dozen.. ><)

YC： Max! Enough le!! No need buy so many.

And i bought some red grapes and chocolates :]

Just look at how caring her daddy is! :')

And he specially pasted this in her study room so as to serve as a reminder for her.
Aww.. Or is it just me who's easily touched by such little actions?
Let's learn to be a little more appreciative ba.. =)
i hope she'll feel better after downing what we bought for her.

The Day of the Eclipse.

When i heard on news about the eclipse, which was like
Once in a lifetime, i felt so high at that instance!
but... i realise this rare occurrence can only be seen in parts of China -.-

to think that i still asked some ppl to look out for the eclipse!

looking like a tramp or something :X

Armed with sandwiches, chips, fruits, drinks, radio and we're off~ :D

Last Saturday,
Went to V8 Cafe @ Bugis Junction to celebrate
mOjO Pangpang's 3rd birthday!~ (in advance)
he was handsomely dressed that day!!
With his smart-looking Victorian suit with the word 'Romeo' sewn on it,
with his flowy sleek cloak at the back! How suave.
that blissful bear with the six of us. A pity changsheng wasnt there..

Before that, we were at kbox! Singing our hearts and lungS out.
It was really really 'breath-taking' cos i almost died laughing..
Their spontaneous, random jokes.
Especially when we came to singing 触电!
That ET, darn funny mannn lol~

At the cafe, when we wanted to request for the lito cake we bought for MJPP..
the waitress actually asked, "Who's birthday is it?"
We were momentarily stunned&speechless for we're actually celebrating the birthday,
of a non-living thing, i mean bear.
wahahahha.. hope pangpang doesnt see this.
shhhhh. you know we love you :P
let's celebrate your birthday, our friendship every year!

On Sunday,
Skipped over to Maxie's new nesty!
He's such a lucky soul, born with a silver or rather diamond spoon in his mouth.

His house, deceivingly feels like a hotel.
its doorway, interior design, furniture and even the (i shall put it elegantly) restrooms
resembles that of a luxurious hotel room..
there's one particular spot which i like-
the little platform which is just beside his bed and by the huge windows..

Just imagine this..
During rainy days, you can just curl yourself up in the little corner with your favourite book
snuggling under the covers..Warm and cozy.
And when your eyes feel tired..
You can look out of the window and just watch the raindrops descend from the sky..
and hear them go 'plop plop'.
With a hot drink in my hands, it'll be perfect! :)

Caught the Ice Age 3, Dawn Of The Dinosuars recently with my besties and i love it.
Notice i used the word 'love' not 'loved'!
It's worth watching, really.
In it, there's the elements of kinship, friendship and love
The kinship among Manny, Ellie and PEACHES and Mother Dino and her 3 cutie baby dinos.. (Plus Sid, who was Daddy for one day?)
The friendship between the extraordinary herd and heroic Buck!
The unusual love between the two squirrels who fell in love in a ferocious fight over...
an acorn ><
Everything, weaved beautifully and seamlessly into a movie.
Not forgetting the injection of humour and adventure
making it a near-perfect production!
Cute, tickly and heart-warming. A mustmust watch!!
ooh. i love peaches. she is so adorable!
with her watery, big round eyes overflowing with pure innocence.


But in time to come, she'll realise that the world isn't as wonderful afterall...
