when i saw the encouraging tags/sms sent by some of you,
i was spurred on you know.. I'm not that alone afterall!

2011 Chinese New Year Celebration.

When my HOD announced that I'll be the overall in-charge,
Instantly I felt lost and frantic you know :(


Just some of my muted thoughts:
"Who am i to do it? I'm just a young & inexperienced untrained teacher."
"How am i supposed to do it?"
"Why me?"


Then came a flurry of responsibilities..

1. Work Delegation
   
2. Event Repertoire
3. Event Budget
4. Song Searching
5. Lyrics Typing
6. Script Writing
7. Emcees Training
8. Outdoor Video Filming
   

There are only 8 main points up there,
yet there are so many things going through in my mind..
Now I'm left with point number 6, 7, 8!


The video part is the worrying part now..
It will be shown to the whole school of about 1200 children,
including the principals & teachers!
What if i did a bad job and the audience just gets disengaged? :(


However, I'm really glad Zhiwei agreed to help me
in the outdoor filming of my emcees.
At least I'm not alone.. :)
Hope all will turn out well.

Hahahaha. I'm sure the kids will love it ;D

From 20-27 December 2010,
Ycyc will be going on a self-enrichment trip again!
This time with the addition of Zhiwei, Jingyi & Lymn Hui :D
Reckon it'll be a marvellous & meaningful trip.
Can't wait to discover the truth about us.
Can't wait to embrace Mother Nature :)

Rewind & reflect.

Recently, Yuyuan & I went to help out in Zhiwei's film project titled -

Unrendered.

Thinking back, there were so many NGs in between
because we'll often break out in effervescent laughter! Hahahaha.
Oh and i learnt a new word called CUBI!! (pronounced as 醋-BEE)
It means CUTE in Teochew? Woohoo~
Zhiwei has a CUBI gong gong! :D


Wow. Acting is no easy feat for me.
We had to get the right intonation, words, expression, actions etc etc :S
The dramas we see on television are perfectly presented
in front of our eyes all the time, and it's only possible
with the perseverance of the heroes behind the scenes.
Who knows how much sweat and effort were put into each and every scene?
Kudos to them & to you 许导！辛苦你了啊。
You actually had to reshoot thrice..
And I thought Jason, Maxie & YY did a great job in acting leh!
(Even though Jason & Maxie's films weren't the final production but still..)
Nevertheless, everything was worthwhile :)


Kind Zhiwei treated us to a fulfilling dinner @ Prata Palace!!
(Hahha okayokay i made up the name of the restaurant :P)

Last Sunday, we watched Rapunzel - A Tangled Tale in the cinemas,
as well as Princess and the Frog at Lian's house! Fairytales :)
Despite the moments of darkness & sinister,
ultimately we know that the light will come & goodness will triumph.
In the movie, I saw beauty, majesty, miracles, kinship, friendship, love,
perfectly completed with a sweet topping of happily-ever-after.


Felicia said she's surprised when she saw many adults in the cinema & she added
'We probably crave for fairytales which do not happen in real life ba.'

*nods in agreement*

I'm becoming one of them!

I guess there's an inner child in everyone, regardless of your age,
who just wanna play, laugh out loud, have fun, without any fear of judgment?
Probably we as young adults, citydwellers seek solace and in such fairytale movies,
to be able to taste that little perfection amongst imperfections in reality ba?


Just my fifty cents worth.. :)

organized a mini celebration for Felicia & me.
First time i see people eating birthday cake with chopsticks!
Wahahha. Nearly laugh till i teared :'D
They got us a chocolate cake & cute cups!! Hehehe.

Sissy & I had a superb steamboat dinner with Jingyi&family!
It's such a coincidence that her mummy & me has the same birthdays..
We can celebrate together every year le! Hohoho.
Yummy yummy. The cake was heavenly :D' Haaaa~


26 November 2010,
Maggie & Maxie secretly reached my school at around 10am..
To think that I was only contactable at around 1pm!!
That means they waited for a few hours?! Ahhh.. At first I saw Maxie only,
then suddenly Maggie just popped out from behind the pillar!
What a sweet sweet surprise :)

Then was a celebration with my colleagues.
Amy Jie put in much effort in organizing the celebration,
while there were some awkwardness in between,
I'm just glad everything went well eventually!

It was an eventful evening - Dinner @ Koh's!!

we had a terrific teatime buffet @ Lingzhi with OHANA!
Angie, Felicia, Guolian, Sze Sian,
Jason, Max, Yuyuan, Zhuang Wei, Zirui~
Wow. Just to name some delectable dishes i like-
Siew mai, char siew buns, mushroom rolls, chee cheong fun, green mango salad.
Zirui's fried yam balls were rather unpopular seh! =P
Ahahaha. Of course, the highlight for the day would be..
The Cake/Face-Cutting Session!! Wahahha. Wonderful wasn't it?
A pity Zhiwei couldn't join us :'( Sigh sigh sigh. But luckily..
She manage to join us for a wonderful dinner with my Ganma&family!!
Together with Felicia & Yuyuan~ Hee.. So happy.

Then was stayover@Zhiwei's house where we watched
What Would You Do Series.
I feel that it's really mentally and morally provoking.
Amazing how the videos can inject the following in us:
Tears, Fear, Disgust, Angst, Empathy..
Last but most importantly, it brought us Inspiration.
Inspiration that, we as ordinary girls-or-boys-next-door
can actually make a difference, no matter how big or small.


While we were sleeping..
Zhiwei's Ahma actually took the trouble to cover us with blankets
for fear we'll feel cold at night.
At that instant when she did that, i thought it was only a dream..
But no, i realized it was a sweet reality.
A small, simple yet touching action
that warmed our bodies and our heart.
What a brilliant breakfast we had ahh,
thanks to Auntie Yati & Director Koh!!


婆婆她爱，所以爱天下之孩子也。=)
我们孝，所以敬天下父母长者也。
